Kao, Grace

Alto, flautist, piccolo player and conductor who was a member of The Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra and The Harvard University Choir and did double duty on their yuletide offering, Christmas in the Busch.

She conducted Felix Mendelssohn’s “Hebrides Overture” (a.k.a. “Fingal’s Cave”) at the 2001 Office for the Arts at Harvard Performance Fair.  On 14th July 2001, she played piccolo in The Holden Consort Orchestra’s performance of Samuel Barber’s “Knoxville:  Summer of 1915” and Johannes Brahms’ German Requiem.  She was also in the orchestra pit for a May 2002 mounting of Peter Dong’s musical, Les Phys, at the Harvard’s Agassiz Theater.
