Bass singer from Pennsylvania who attended Pottsgrove High School and graduated from West Chester University in 1966. He went on to join The Philadelphia Singers, the chorus-in-residence of The Philadelphia Orchestra.
In 2006, he had the opportunity to participate in a special music program entitled Umbrian Serenades which whisked him off the Umbria, Italy, for thirteen days of performing a cappella in unique historical spaces with nonpareil acoustics.
He celebrated Christmas in 2007 by singing “The People that Walked in Darkness” from George Frideric Handel’s Messiah at Christ Church in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his musical efforts, Richard also entertains audiences with his voice in a different way, narrating for science fiction podcasts such as Aliens You Will Meet, Fables of the Flying City, and Voices of Tomorrow.
He has also been on the board of The Healing Presence Singers.
He performs as a vocalist here with the Philadelphia Area Dance for Parkinson’s and the Parkinsingers….
