She is a violinist born into a family of musicians in Tashkent, Uzbekistan who started her studies when she was 7 years old at the Upensky School in Tashkent.
When she was 12 years old she debuted with the Uzbekistan Philharmonic Orchestra along with appearing with several other local orchestras before studying for her Master’s degree at Moscow Conservatory for seven years.
She became a member of the Moscow Conservatory Quintet and with them recorded a CD of the music of Taneyev and Glinka. She also recorded as a soloist with the Ars Viva Chamber Orchestra for radio in Moscow and Uzbekistan and on Uzbek TV.
In 1994 she moved to the USA where she performed as a recitalist and also as a soloist with the Ascending Artist Recital Series and Liederkrantz Symphony Orchestra in New York. She has also performed with the American Pittsburgh and New Jersey symphony orchestras and in several American and European music festivals.
In 2002 she became a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra and as a chamber musician is also a co-founder of the Society Hill Strings Quartet.
Recordings she has played on include Taneyev: Quintet, Glinka: Sextet by the Moscow Conservatory Quintet and Rachmaninov: Piano Concertos 1 and 4, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and Peter Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 “Pathetiue”/Dumka by The Philadelphia Orchestra.
In the field of musical education she has been on the strings faculty of the Philadelphia Music Festival.
