Kabas, Eva-Maria (1973-Present)

Violinist from Hohenems, Austria, who attended Graz Music University and Vienna Music University and studied with Gerhard Hetzel and Alfred Staar. She is often credited by her maiden name Eva-Maria Reisinger.

Groups with whom she has worked include the Austrian-Hungarian Haydn Philharmonic, the Baroque Ensemble of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the Haydn Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Vorarlberg Symphony Orchestra, Wiener Facetten and Wiener Kammermusiker.

On 1^st August 1999, the Baroque Ensemble of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra participated in the Bregenz Festival at Kirche Maria Bildstein. Their program comprised Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata No. 51 (Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen, BWV 511), Georg Philipp Telemann’s “Don Quixote Suite I”, and Antonio Vivaldi’s “Concerto in G major” (“Alla Rustica”) and “Concerto No. 2 in G minor” from “L’estro Armonico”.

Wiener Facetten took part in Festival Internacional de Ushuaia on 8^th May 2009. Highlights included Joseph Lanner’s “Hans-Jorgel-Polka”, the first movement from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Quintet in G minor, KV 516”, and Johann Strauss’s “Kettenbrucken-Walzer, Op. 4” and “Von der Borse, Op. 337”.

On 14^th July 2010, Wiener Kammermusiker appeared at the Pfarrzentrum am See in Hard where they performed “Impressions” by Gernot Wolfgang.

The Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Eroica Trio interpreted Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano in C major, Op. 56” (“Triple Concerto”) in Foellinger Great Hall at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on 8^th November 2011. The concert concluded with Johannes Brahms’ “Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73”. On 14^th November 2011, they reprised this program at Lincoln Center in New York.
