Jones, Bill

He is a multi-instrumentalist and singer noted for his work on a huge variety woodwind instruments and keyboards in the world of rock and popular music in the 1970s.

Working with many artists including Steve Forbert, Jimmy Buffett and David Sanborn, he is possibly most recognised for his performances with the Ozark Mountain Daredevils.

Appearing on many albums during the course of his career he has featured on The Car Over the Lake Album and Men From Earth by the Ozark Mountain Devils, Jackrabbit Slim and More Young, Guitar Days by Steve Forbert, Volcano by Jimmy Buffett, Never Enough by The Poussette Dart Band, No Strings Attached by Gene Cotton and the Best of David Sanborn.

Bill arranged the vocals and plays the Harpsichord here on “Mr. Powell” by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils…
