She is a violinist also known as Bernadette Jarry-Guillamot who is the daughter of the famed French violinist Gerard Jarry.
When she was eleven years old she entered the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris where she took studies in violin and chamber music.
She has performed with the Jean-Francois Paillard Chamber Orchestra from 1979 to 1994 before becoming a member of the National Orchestra of France in 1995.
Her husband was the oboist Rene Guillamot who sadly died of cancer when he was just 38 years old in May 2000.
