He is a double bass player born in Bulgaria who learned to the piano when he was very young.
When he was ten years old he decided to turn his attention to the double bass and after entering the music school at Stara Zagora he began making performances as a soloist and appearing on Bulgarian radio recordings.
He went on to win the Kjostendil national music competition and graduated in 1992. He went on to take his further education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
His time in Vienna has seen him perform with many orchestras and ensembles that include the Austrian State Theater, Camerata Salzburg, Ensemble Aktuell, Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Neue Oper Wien, Salzburg Chamber Soloists and the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra among several others.
In 2004 he became a member of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and also performs with the Salzburg Classical Quintet.
During his career he has toured throughout the world as a chamber musician and soloist.
Recordings he has appeared on include Buenos Aires –Vienna which is works by Argentinean composers performed in Argentina and Austria.
He has performed with the Eroica Trio and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra for Beethoven’s “Triple Concerto” and appeared in an open air gig with the Costa Rican violinist Phoebe Violet in 2013.
