He is a violist who was a member of the Minnesota Orchestra until his retirement in 2015.
He was a founder of the Chamber Music series at the University Club and collaborated with the the Sogetsu Ikebana Group and produced the annual “Musical Flowers” spring show until his retirement.
While with the orchestra he 2003 played on A Prairie Home Companion at the Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
He invented a device to assist the holding up of the viola in rehearsals.
