Howarth, Robert

He is an organist, harpsichordist and conductor born in England, who studied music at the University of York.  He was a member of the London based Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and appeared on their album Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition.

He has also been a harpsichordist and/0r conductor on tour with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and has led the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Halle Orchestra and the Irish Baroque Orchestra as well as the Academy of Ancient Music, Concerto Koln, English Concert, La Serenissima, The King’s Consort, the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra, RTE National Symphony Orchestra, The St. James Baroque Players and the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra.

Outside of this he has worked in opera with the Birmingham Opera Company, English Touring Opera, Hamburg State Opera, Norwegian Opera, Opera North, Welsh National Opera and at the Dartington International Summer School.
