Horner-Kwiatek, Jacqueline

She is a soprano and teacher born in Monkstown, Northern Ireland, who studied at Queens University, Belfast.

She moved to England and began her professional career as a singer and studied for her MA in Music Performance Practice at the City University and Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.  She applied to the U.S. Green Card Lottery to live and work in the United States and, after being successful, she relocated to New York City in the latter half of the 1990s.

Becoming known as a soloist and ensemble singer she was a member of the female a cappella group Anonymous 4 from 2000 to 2015 and has also worked with numerous other orchestras, ensembles and operatic companies such as the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Ars Musica Chorale, Bucks County Choral Society, Capitol Hill Chorale, the Chilingirian String Quartet, the Choral Society of Philadelphia, Collegium Musicum, Continuum, the English National Opera, Fairfax Choral Society, Locrian Chamber Ensemble, Parthenia, The Royal Opera Covent Garden Orchestra, The Washington Bach Consort and the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris, France, the Ensemble Modern in Frankfurt, Germany.

Her time with Anonymous 4 saw her singing on 12 CDs, which have won several awards and entered the classical album chart, and with them she extensively toured on a national and international level.

Her recordings include American Angels, Darkness Into Light, Gloryland, La Bele Marie, 1000 A Mass for the End of Time, The Origins of Fire, The Second Circle and Wolcum Yule with Anonymous 4 as well as Andrew Toovey: The Juniper Tree, Choral and Organ Music of Alec Wyton, Douglas J Cuomo: Arjunna’s Dilemma, The Music of Charles Jones and Stephen Montague: Orchestral and Chamber Works.

As a teacher she has given many masterclasses and workshops and is on the faculty of Musica Deo Sacra ad the Trevor Conservatory of Music and is  a C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow and Teaching Fellow at The Juilliard School.
