Hogges, Genithia L.

Soprano, musician, conductor and teacher who studied at Harvard University for her Ed. M in Arts and Education and her A.B. in Literature and earned her M.A. in Music at Boston University, where she specialised in historical musicology.

She has been a teacher of Spanish and English and in the world of music as taught all age-groups at several schools in subjects that range from vocal ensembles to instrumental.  She has also taught as specialist in African-American sacred music tradition.  As a conductor she has led several community and church choirs.

While at Harvard University she was a member of The Harvard University Choir and appeared on their yuletide offering, Christmas in the Busch.
