He is a drummer who began his professional career in music in 1976.
He worked with the band Roogalator on two of their albums initially and then went on to perform with the band M and has since recorded with artists such as Lene Lovich, Kiki Dee & Carmelo Luggeri, and extensively with Thomas Dolby.
In the 1980s he regularly toured with bands and artists such as Blancmange, Thrashing Doves and Nina Gagen and also went on two world tours and US and European tours with Joan Armatrading.
During the years 1993 to 1996 he performed and recorded in the rhythm section for the Saiichi Sugiyama Band.
In the 2000s he became a member of the popular offshoot band from Free called Free Again, The Desperate Dan Band and in 2006 he became a member of The Blue Bishops.
