Hightower, Wes (1965-Present)

He is a singer-songwriter born in Weatherford, Texas, who studied at the North Texas State University followed by the University of Texas.

A few years after his graduation he relocated to Nashville in 1990 to try his hand at the music business there, but for the first five years tinted windows until at last he had amassed enough demo work to make a living singing harmony.

After his slow beginnings his career finally took off and he has now appeared on albums that have sold an estimated total of 100 million worldwide and for 5 years in a row named “Musician of the Year” by Music Row Magazine.  Artists he has recorded with include John Anderson, Jimmy Buffett, Glen Campbell, Faith Hill, George Jones, Martin McBride, Olivia Newton John, Joan Osborne, Sir Cliff Richard, George Strait, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, Hank Williams Jr and Trisha Yearwood among countless others.

Some of the many recordings he features on include Licence to Chill and Live at Texas Stadium by Jimmy Buffett, Carnival Ride by Carrie Underwood, It Just Comes Natural by George Strait, All I Want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan by Kenny Chesney, White Trash with Money by Toby Keith, Back With a Heart by Olivia Newton John, Fireflies by Faith Hill, Greatest Hits 4 by Hank Williams Jr., These Days by Vince Gill and Something’s Going On by Cliff Richard.

His songwriting has also got him noticed and his work has been recorded by several acts that include Coley McCabe and South 65.
