Han, Daniel

He is a violinist born in Lexington, Kentucky who began studying the violin when he was four years old and from the age of six studied at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory Department as a scholarship student.  During those years he performed annually as a soloist with the CCM-Starling Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra.

He was also a concertmaster of the CCM Starling Chamber Orchestra while still studying in Cincinnati and performed with them as a soloist on tours of several European countries and at the Alice Tully Hall in New York.

He received his bachelors and master’s degrees from Boston University, as well as the Artist Diploma and was awarded the Esther Kahn Award.

He has been a member of the Fort Worth Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra and been a guest concertmaster in Korea at the Daejeon Philharmonic.  Other orchestras and ensembles he has performed asa soloist with include the Boston Classical Orchestra, Longy Chamber Orchestra and Northern Kentucky Symphony.   He joined as a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra in 2006.

A regular performer at various music festivals and been a guest artist at Philadelphia International Music Festival along with Kingston and Music in the Mountains.

In the recording studio he has performed on Peter Tchaikovsky – Symphony No. 6 “Pathetique/Dumka by The Philadelphia Orchestra.

In the field of musical education he has been a member of faculties at various Boston music schools.
