She is a violinist born in Boston, Massachusetts who studied at the Curtis Institute of Music, the Salzburg Mozarteum and the San Francisco Conservatory and won the Lipinski-Wienawski Competition in Poland.
In Germany she was a member of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra where she held the position of Associate and Principal Second Violin. She has performed with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and has toured with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and in 2003 she became a member of the First Violin section of The Minnesota Orchestra.
As a soloist she has performed nationally and internationally with several orchestras that include the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Junge Philharmonie Erlangen, the Minnesota Orchestra and the Staatsorchester Braunschweig.
As a chamber musician she has been a member of the Isles Ensemble and the Ladyslipper Ensemble and regularly performed in the Minnesota Orchestra’s Chamber Music concerts. She has been a guest musician with the Bamberg String Quartet and the Walden Chamber Players.
Performing recitals she has played throughout Europe and was the recitalist at San Francisco’s Legion of Honor where she played the Jascha Heifetz ‘David’ 1742 Guarneri del Gesu violin.
She has worked in collaboration with the Boston Ballet where she performed The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams and with choreographer and dancer Bill T. Jones at Minneapolis’s Walker Art Center. In 2018 she was awarded a Minnesota Artist Initiative Grant.
Recordings she has featured on include her own Bach: Three Partitas and American Avenues along with That You May Have Life: Musical Stories from the Gospel of John and In the Days to Come: Songs of Peace by Marty Haugen and In the Sight of Angels by Michael Joncas.
In the field of musical education she has taught many successful orchestral students and been a faculty member of the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra.
