Haas, Jennifer

She is a violinist born in Delaware who started to learn the violin when she was three years old.  She later took studies at the Curtis Institute of Music where she earned her Bachelor of Music.

She went on to become a member of the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia and worked as a freelance musician.

As a soloist she has been a winner nationally and internationally at several music competitions and as appeared with many American orchestras that include the Delaware Symphony, the Newark Symphony and the Utah Symphony.

She became a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra’s violin section in the 2001-02 season and also plays as a member of The Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble.  She is also an alumni of the Luzerne Music Center.

Recordings she has performed on include Peter Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 “Pathetique”/Dumka.
