Goodall, Gregory

Percussionist who attended the University of California in Los Angeles, from whence he acquired his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s of Fine Arts degrees in Music Performance Practices.

In 1991, he became a member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Other groups with whom he has worked include the American Youth Symphony, the Los Angeles Opera, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

On 14^th March 2012, the L.A. Opera mounted a production of Albert Herring by Benjamin Britten at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Gregory is purported to have played on more than 500 soundtracks, so here is but a small helping: The Adventures of TinTin: The Secret of the Unicorn; Bruce Almighty; Conspiracy Theory; Dark Water; Elektra; Flight of the Phoenix; Hidalgo; Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade; Jeepers Creepers 2; Jurassic Park; King Kong; Looney Tunes: Back in Action; Miracle; Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief; Robots; Scary Movie 3; The Skeleton Key; Throw Momma from the Train; Titanic; Under the Tuscan Sun; War of the Worlds; and, Year of the Dog.

Other recordings on which he has performed comprise Balancing Act by Bill Booth, Harps and Angels by Randy Newman, The Movie Album: As Time Goes By by Neil Diamond, and Pure Orchestra by John Tesh.

Games may have heard him whilst playing Lost Planet 2.

In the field of music education, he has served on the faculty of California State University in Long Beach.
