He is a bassoonist, formerly with the name Buschek, born in Linz, Austria who studied in Vienna and from 1994 to 2001 performed as a member of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.
In 2001 he became a member of the Vienna Symphony and has since held the positions of Deputy 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bassoon. He has also performed in all of the concert and opera orchestras in Vienna and been a guest musician with Ensemble “Die Reihe”, Ensemble Modern (Frankfurt), Ensemble Modern Orchestra and Klangform Wien.
He also hold the position of 1st Bassoon with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Classical Players and Wiener Concert-Verein and is a member of several ensembles.
He is has collaborated with female composers and several compositions have been written for him.
Recordings he has features on include Passagen – Music for Solo Bassoon, Kaufhausmusik by Triple Tongue Vienna and Fiori Musicali Triberg 2 by the Vienna Symphony Baroque Ensemble.
In the field of musical education he has been a teacher at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna..
