Geller, Noah

He is a violinist born to a musical family in Chicago, Illinois who started playing the violin when he was five years old and studied for his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at The Juilliard School.  He is married to the percussionist Mari Yoshinaga.

He became a first violinist with the Philadelphia Orchestra in January 2008 and moved to the Acting Assistant Concertmaster in 2010.  He then moved to the Kansas City Symphony where he held the post of Concertmaster from 2012 and moved once more to become David & Amy Fuller Concertmaster at the Seattle Symphony in 2018.

During his career he has performed at the Heartland Music Festival, Kingston Music Festival, Marlboro Music Festival and Olympic Music Festival along with other music festivals  He has also performed with Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Juilliard Orchestra, the New Zealand Trio in Queensland, NZ and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and has presented and organised concerts by the Shir Ami ensemble.  He has been heard playing at Lyric Chamber Music Society, Philadelphia Museum of Art and Tanglewood Music Center and been guest concertmaster with the China National Symphony Orchestra (Beijing) and the Pittsburgh Symphony.

Recordings he has performed on include The Inner Banks by The Inner Banks, Saint Saens: Symphony No. 3 “Organ” by Kansas City Symphony and John Luther Adams: Become Desert by Seattle Symphony.

In the field of musical education he has been an adjunct Associate Professor of Violin at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music.
