He is a double bass player and drummer who studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and went on to performed with the New World Symphony Orchestra and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
In 1998 he became a member of the Minnesota Orchestra and from 2012 to 2015 held the position of Acting Co-Principal Bass.
Other orchestras he has performed with include the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony, the Minnesota Bach Ensemble, the National Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic.
Participating in music festivals he has been a performer at the Bravo Vail Festival, the Oregon Bach Festival and the Strings Music Festival.
As a drummer he has put together the Minnesota Orchestra Band (MOB) with Brian Mount who is the Minnesota Orchestra’s Principal Percussionist. During the concert season the band performs classic rock music for no charge for the patrons of the orchestra. He also performs with the band TreeHorn.
Recordings he has appeared on outside of the Minnesota Orchestra include the 2005 Solo Settings by Charles Lazarus.
