He is a singer-songwriter and drummer born in London, England, also known as WeZ, who started out by playing for artists that were coming to play in the area.
During the mid-1990s he decided to concentrate on singing rather than paying the drums and became a session singer for many of the top artists and bands of the day as well as lending his voice to radio and TV commercials. He has also sung as a member of ensembles such as Ballet Revolution, The Groove Association, Second Image and the Strong Sensation Band and formed his own Weston Foster Productions.
Artists and groups he has worked with include Martin Barre, Boday, Randy Crawford, the Cut Up Boys, Mary Dynamix, Friction, Mistura, Morcheeba, Joey Negro, Jose Padilla, Jimmy Ruffin, Ben Sowton, Sister Sledge and Womack &Womack.
As a songwriter and arranger he has written or co-written songs such as “Where Is the Love?”, “Don’t You”, “Love Turns Me Upside Down”, “Special Lady” and “Don’t You”.
The recordings he has performed on as a musician and/or singer are include Tonite by The Groovelines, Undivided Love and Naked by Louise, Indigo, Grand Via, Echoes and HiFi Bossanova by Matt Bianco, Lovers Again by Alexander O’Neal, Bilingual by the Pet Shop Boys, Second Image by Second Image and numerous collections and compilations.
