Violist who attended the Cleveland Institute of Music, the New England Conservatory, and the Tanglewood Music Center. Her teachers included Heidi Castleman, Eugene Lehner, and Abraham Skernick.
On 6th May 1973, she and pianist Debbie Kaufman performed Julius Drossin’s Little Boy Blue Suite at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
She attended the New York String Orchestra Seminar in 1979 and graduated from the NEC in 1981.
In 1983, she joined the Boston Pops Espalanade Orchestra and was with them until 1989, when she became a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Other groups with whom she has worked comprise the Boston Ballet Orchestra, Emmanuel Music, the Opera Company of Boston, and the Renard String Quartet.
Recordings on which she appears include America, American Visions, The Celtic Album, Chris Botti in Boston, Hindemith on Trombone, Holiday Pops, My Favorite Things: A Richard Rodgers Celebration, and A Splash of Pops.
On 31st March 2007, she and other members of the BSO offered up a community concert of traditional Irish and Latin tunes at Bethany Congregational Church in Quincy, Massachusetts.
She participated in the BSO’s prelude concert at Ozawa Hall 15th July 2011, a night that culminated with Antonin Dvorak’s Cello Concerto and Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 (Spring).
Her off-stage activities have included marathon running and sitting on the Board of Overseers for the Zullo Gallery Center for the Arts.
