He was a cellist and arranger born in the United States who carved himself a career as an extremely sought after and prolific session musician in California from the early 1960s.
Performing for some of the best known names of the time he recorded with Nat King Cole in 1961, Sam Cooke in 1963, The Beach Boys in 1966, was a member of the Abnuceals EmuukhaElectric Orchestra put together by Frank Zappa for his album Lumpy Gravy in 1968 and in 1972 he was a musician in the overdubbing for a session by Elvis Presley.
The amount of artists he worked with during his career is almost incalculable but just a select few of theme include Air Supply, Susie Allanson, Pat Boone, David Byrne, Harry Chapin, Rosemary Clooney, Alice Coltrane, Bobby Darin, Duane Eddy, Jose Feliciano, Dan Fogelberg, The Gap Band, Russ Giguere, Lesley Gore, Hubert Laws, Dean Martin, Rick Nelson, Randy Newman, Harry Nilsson, Michael Omartian, Ray Parker Jr., Freda Payne, Del Shannon, Mel Torme, The Turtles, Tom Waits, Mason Williams and Warren Zevon.
