She is a soprano and vocal music teacher who earned her music degrees at both St. Olaf College and Arizona State University.
As a singer she was a member of the St. Olaf Choir for three years and a member of the Minnesota Chorale for 2 years.
She became a member of the Dale Warland Singers in 1985 and a soprano leader from 1991. She was often heard as a soloist and remained with the ensemble until they were retired by Dale Warland in 2004, aside from one year while she was at Arizona State University, performing on many of their recordings.
Recordings that she has performed with the Dale Warland Singers include Cathedral Classics, December Stillness, Blue Wheat (A Harvest of American Folk Songs), A Rose in Winter, Rachmaninoff: Vespers, Hodie! (Choral Works of Benjamin Britten and Daniel Pinkham), Lux Aurumque, Christmas with the Dale Warland Singers and the Grammy nominated Walden Pond.
As a vocal music teacher she taught at schools in White Bear Lake for her whole teaching career and was in charge of four ensembles there. She retired from teaching in 2018.
