He is an artist manager, composer, drummer, producer, programmer and vocalist born in Greenville, North Carolina, and raised between Greenville and Philadelphia.
He toured with The Drifters and was a member of Turning Point, which became Kenny Rogers’ band. He and Lloyd Barry produced and wrote “The Super Bowl Shuffle” for the Chicago Bears, and he was also responsible for drum programming on the novelty track. He has also been active with Project Return and has been a Chief Consulting Officer with BCD Consulting in Nashville, Tennessee.
He founded two Nashville based record production companies in 1979.
