She is a violinist born in New York City who began studying he violin when she was 3 years old. When she was nine she studied in the pre-college division of the Juilliard School and after completing the college division she went to Indian University where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Music in 1992. She followed that by gaining her Master of Music degree at the San Francisco Conservatory.
She freelanced with the San Francisco Symphony, Ballet and Opera orchestras before becoming a second violin with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and in 1998 she became a first violin there.
Four years later she became a violinist with the Philadelphia Orchestra in 2002. She has given many performances with the orchestra through her career with them and was a volunteer musician who played music with other Philadelphia Orchestra members at the Spring Musicale at Mount Laurel, New Jersey as well as at the Kimmel Center, Philadelphia on at the polls on election day in 2020.
Recordings she has performed on include Peter Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 “Pathetique”/Dumka and Dmitri Shostakovich: Symphony No. 5 with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
