She is a cellist who became a member of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in 1977.
During her years with the orchestra she participated in many of the events, including the Saturday Night Movie concerts and the ESO debut at Carnegie Hall in 2012. She retired after performing with the orchestra for 42 years in 2019.
She is married to the retired ESO violinist Richard Caldwell.
