She is a soprano and musician who plays the piano and several wind instruments. She studied at the College of Catherine where she earned her degree in elementary education and the University of Minnesota where she earned degrees in vocal performance and music.
Singing with various ensembles, she has been a cantorial soloist in Rochester, Minnesota at the B’nal Israel Synagogue as well as performing with the Bach Society/Sebastian Singers, the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, the Minnesota Opera, the Morris Park Players and the Dale Warland Singers along with several others.
She has also appeared on stage as the cantor in the musical production of The Soul of Gershwin three times between 1999 and 2016 and in 2024 performed with Raison D’Etre Opera in Aaron Copland’s setting of Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson.
Recordings she has performed on include Christmas with the Dale Warland Singers by The Dale Warland Singers, Gershwin the Klezmer with The Minnesota Klezmer Band and A Celebration of Yiddish Song.
In the field of musical education she has taught band and music at the St. Paul Torah Day School.
