He is a baritone singer and pastry chef who graduated from St. Olaf College where he studied biology and vocal music performance.
As a professional singer he was section leader and bass soloist with the Edina Chorale and was a member of The Dale Warland Singers for 12 years. He is a charter member of The Singers – Minnesota Choral Artists, which he joined in 2003.
He has also performed with The Paul Kaye Singers, the Plymouth Music Series and as a soloist at the St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie and been a guest on Classical Minnesota Public Radio.
Recordings he has performed on include December Stillness, Rachmaninoff Vespers, Christmas with The Dale Warland Singers, Blue Wheat: A Harvest of American Folk Songs and the Grammy Award nominated Dominick Argento: Walden Pond by The Dale Warland Singers and At the River (American Folk Songs, Spirituals and Hymns) by The Singers.
As a professional pastry chef he works at his own company Three Chocolatiers at Eden Prairie, Minnesota, where he provides gourmet baked goods to restaurants, coffee shops and stores.
