Cellist who graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1978 and went on to become a member of the London Symphony Orchestra.
On 10th August 2007, the London Symphony Chorus & Orchestra gave the U.K. premiere of A Flowering Tree by John Adams with a staged performance at Barbican Hall.
The LSO performed Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Piano Concerto No. 3”, with Jonathan Biss at the keys, and “Symphony No. 7”, and the world premiere of Vlad Maistorovici’s “Halo” on 13th March 2011.
On 2nd October 2012, they were joined by Elina Garanca for an evening of opera highlights that included “Mon Coeur s’ouvre a ta voix” from Samson et Dalila by Camille Saint-Saens, “Plus grand, dans son obscurite” from La Reine de Saba by Charles Gounod, and “Yes, the time has come” from The Maid of Orleans by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Recordings on which Noel appears include: Classics of My Soul by Waldemar Bastos; Classikhan, Dust Bowl Symphony, Holst: The Planets, Music of Hope, Symphony No. 1 Inspired by The Lord of the Rings by Johan de Meij and Zappa Vols. 1-2 with the LSO; Corazon Herido by Isabel Pantoja; Fresh Aire 8 by Mannheim Steamroller; and, the soundtrack of The Dark Crystal.
