Sub-principal bassoonist of the London Symphony Orchestra (formerly with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra) who appears on their recordings, John Adams: A Flowering Tree and Sibelius: Symphony No. 2/Puhjola’s Daughter. He can also be heard on the Bram van Sambeek album, Bassoon Kaleidoscope.
In 2011, he gave a master class to the YouTube Symphony Orchestra, participated in the Aix-en-Provence Festival in France, and had an audience with the Queen at Her Majesty’s Medal for Music Gala.
He participated in the Oxford Music Festival and the LSO’s Soundscapes series, the latter of which included Alban Berg’s Violin Concerto”, with soloist Leonidas Kavakos, and Gustav Mahler’s “Symphony No. 1” (“Titan”) in 2012.
In the field of music education, he has been involved with the LSO’s Centre for Orchestra and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and served on the faculty at the Royal College of Music.
