She is a choral singer, director and teacher who earned her Bachelor of Music at Michigan State University before going to Ohio and earning her Master of Music degree in music education at Bowling Green State University.
As a choral singer she was a member of the professional ensemble the Dale Warland Singers for four years, with whom she performed in many concerts and on recordings. She has also sung with Opus 7, Roseville Big Band, the St. James Cathedral Choir and Cantorei, Seattle Pro Musica and Urban Baroque.
Her work as a director of music has seen her working as the Director of the Northwest Girlchoir and a choir in a Minnesota maximum-security prison along with several children’s and adult church choirs.
Recording she has performed on include Daybreak and Heart & Soul by the Northwest Girlchoir and Christmas with the Dale Warland Singers, Seasons and the Grammy nominated Walden Pond by the Dale Warland Singers.
In the field of musical education she has worked in several states teaching music t0 students from all levels and of education ranging from elementary to college years.
