He is a percussionist and composer who took his musical studies at the Kiev Conservatory in Ukraine.
He has since been a first prize winner of a Ukrainian music competition and taken part in many international jazz festivals.
In 1974 he became a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. He was also the founder and artistic director of the Parade of Virtuoso ensemble and the piece of the same name. In 2007 he was the Principal Percussionist with the Symphonic Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine at the Kiev Music Festival. His work as a composer has seen writing many pieces for percussion instruments.
Working in the studio he has appeared on recordings that include On the Hill Again by the Er. J. Orchestra.
In the field of musical education he is a much respected Professor of Percussion who has been on the faculty of the Kiev Conservatory since the late 1970s.
