Multi-reed musician who has been a member of several orchestras and recorded a considerable number of albums and soundtracks.

Actually, “multi-reed” doesn’t quite cover it: his arsenal of instruments consists of a number of exotic winds such as the Armenian duduk, bansuri, bloul, Chinese bahu, Chinese dizi, fujara, mijwiz, quena, sea kelp flute, shakuhachi, tarka, and zurna.

His versatility has made him an invaluable member of ensembles and orchestras and indispensable in movie and recording studios.

Groups with whom he has worked include the American Ballet Theater, Camerata Pacifica, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Long Beach Symphony, the Los Angeles Chamber Artists, the Los Angeles Opera, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Orchestra Sinfonica de Chamartin, the Pacific Symphony, the Pasadena Symphony, the San Francisco Ballet, the Santa Cecilia Orchestra, Trimotif, the Tronec Orchestra, and the West Coast Saxophone Quartet.

His discography is too extensive to list in its entirety, but here are some highlights: Americano by Jose Feliciano; Chamber Music for Winds with Susan Allen; The Chamber Works by the Los Angeles Chamber Artists; Illuminations by Josh Groban; In the Key of Disney by Brian Wilson; Oboe and Cor Anglais with Michael Hoppe; Second Chance by El DeBarge; and, Serenada Schizophrana by Danny Elfman.

On the small screen, he can be heard on the soundtracks of Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cold Case, CSI: NY, Firefly, Human Target, King of the Hill, and Pushing Daisies.

Gamers may have heard him on the soundtracks of Dark Void, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, Myst IV, and The Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.
