She is a violinist and business owner who was awarded a scholarship by The Women’s Musical Club of Winnipeg in 1981 and 1982 and in 1983 was a member of the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
She became a member of the first violin section of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and remained with the orchestra into the 2010s.
As a chamber musician she was a member of Sempre La Musica which was an ensemble made up of musicians from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and the Calgary Philharmonic. The leader was her husband, Stefan Jungkind, who was Principal Viola with the ESO at the time and still plays with the orchestra.
In the field of musical education she has been a teacher at the Edmonton Kiwanis Music Festival.
She left the orchestra in the early 2010s to start the business Ibon Antiques and Collectibles with her husband which is based in Edmonton.
