He is a violinist born in Odessa, Russia who studied at Stolyarsky Music School in Odessa and earned a diploma in teaching and solo and orchestral performance at the Odessa State University.
After moving to the USA he became a member of several orchestras including the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the Mexico City Philharmonic and the Orchestra of New York. In 1982 he became a member of the Baltimore Symphony and after thee years became a second violinist with The Philadelphia Orchestra in 1985.
He was presented with the traditional award of a watch to mark his 25 years of service in 2010.
Recordings he has performed on include Peter Tchaikovsky – Symphony No 6 “Pathetique”/Dumka by The Philadelphia Orchestra.
